Much to see and do nearby with the beach at Bucks Mills offering opportunities for prawning fishing and rock pooling. If you can tear yourself away from this idyllic spot there are also long sandy surfing beaches at Westward Ho! and Bude. Family attractions include The Big Sheep The Milky Way and Clovelly with its steep cobbled streets. In the evenings relax in the garden that can become a real sun trap or enjoy a meal at one of the many local pubs within a 10 minute drive. Play facility: outdoor table tennis table located on the terrace. The light and airy accommodation offers THREE bedrooms: 1 king-size double with TV and 2 twin rooms. Bathroom: bath with shower over and WC. Landing cupboards house the washing machine and tumble dryer. Separate WC downstairs. Lounge/diner: with wooden flooring exposed beams and feature fireplace with woodburner (first basket of logs provided) TV/DVD and wi-fi connection. Boot room off the lounge/diner ideal for walking boots surf boards etc. Kitchen/breakfast room: with electric oven and gas hob fridge dishwasher and microwave and french doors leading out to the south facing terrace and having utility area with fridge/freezer. Outside: gated but not totally enclosed lawn with steps leading to further lawn area garden furniture and BBQ. Amenities: ample off- road parking. Bed linen towels electricity gas underfloor heating throughout and wi-fi connection included. Regret no smoking. 1 dog welcome. Location: beach 0.9 miles Post Office/stores a short walk up the lane pub 2 miles. Arrival: 4pm. Departure time: midday.

The small port of Bideford in north Devon, England, is located on the River Torridge opposite East-of-the-Water. A perfect location for staying at if you wish to explore the north Devon coast, Bideford is not far from Northam, Abbotsham, Westward Ho!, Appledore, and Monkleigh. The nearest main cities are Plymouth (population 243,795), Exeter (population 106,772), and Truro (which has a population of 20,920 according to the 2001 Census).
By the 16th century Bideford had become the third largest port in England, although its importance is far less these day. It is famed for the 'Long Bridge' which crosses the river and which dates right back to the 15th century.
Bideford is easily accessibly by road, being located on the A39 coastal road, and offers much for the holidaymaker wishing to explore this part of Devon.
